Secure Video and Voice Message Sharing Now Available on TigerText Messaging Platform

SANTA MONICA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

TigerText, the leader in secure real-time messaging, announced today their latest iOS release on the TigerTextPRO application now includes the ability to send secure video and voice messages giving physicians and nurses enhanced means to securely share critical patient information instantly.

TigerText users at over 300 healthcare facilities around the country rely on the secure messaging solution to communicate medical orders at a moment's notice. Physicians cannot afford to waste time typing long medical terminology that is not accepted by autocorrect features built into many devices. Now, TigerText users can simply tap a button to record a voice or video message and securely send the message to a colleague without storing it in the gallery on their phone.

"The increasing demands on nurses' and physicians' time in the United States is reaching a breaking point with 23 million additional people being added to insured rolls under Accountable Care Act," says Brad Brooks, TigerText President and Co-Founder. "Our goal with voice and video message features is to help give nurses and physicians easier, more efficient ways to gather and transmit information to others to free up time for quality face to face interaction."

"TigerText has assisted our practice in multiple ways," says Jonathan Kenyon, IS Manager at Minneapolis Radiation Oncology. "Not only does it allow our departments to converse with each other within the clinic when there is demand for our patients to see our physicians but also this critical technology assists our physicians when they are outside the department consulting with other parts of the hospital for the complete care path of the patient. There is no doubt in my mind that TigerText is a pinnacle cornerstone in our foundation of collaborative technologies."

TigerText is currently the only platform on the market to support secure voice and video sharing through a HIPAA compliant messaging application. The integration of these 21th century capabilities into nurses and physicians' daily workflow has the ability to dramatically improve productivity and care coordination through better workflow.

Robust Enterprise Grade WebRTC Systems and Services

The emerging WebRTC standard has become one of the industry's hottest topics – and with good reason. Being able to "communications enable the web" has Communications Service Providers as well as Enterprises busily making plans for deployment. But, as these plans unfold, reality is starting to intrude on those plans. Our expectations of telephony services are much higher than web browsing. We expect the phone to connect instantly, operate with minimal disruption, and work seamless across any network, anywhere, at any time. There is also an understanding that phone service is inherently secure. With WebRTC, the expectation is for these applications to behave in the same manner.

This session looks at the user experience and expectations of a WebRTC Enterprise service. It will also cover how a WebRTC enterprise handles security, reliability, and interoperability within browsers and networks.
