FREMONT, Calif., June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Smart Embedded Systems, a business unit of Abisys Corporation, a Silicon Valley-based Company, announced the availability of modules based on Sitara(TM) AM335x ARM® Cortex(TM)-A8 processors from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). Smart Embedded Systems offers programmable real-time unit (PRU) firmware and Linux drivers for SoftUART, SmartCard and I2C. These firmware and drivers along with the hardware can be customized for industrial automation applications, as well as consumer electronics and medical devices.

Smart Embedded Systems has been working with TI for the past several years, and as a result of this collaboration, Smart Embedded Systems has built a core expertise in PRU. PRU applications are built into the modules offered by Smart Embedded Systems. DAVE and Smart Embedded Systems offer turnkey solutions which include firmware (assembly language), device drivers for various operating systems, test applications and complete end-user applications.
