Facebook Users Suffer Blockage in Cambodia

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 In a report by Humanitarian News dated 15th August 2013 (http://humanitariannews.org/20130815/why-was-facebook-blocked-cambodia), on 7th of August 2013, Facebook was inaccessible in Cambodia for a few hours leaving media freedom groups suspicious of a ploy to restrict social media sites in the country.

As reported, Metfone, Cambodia’s most popular internet provider was responsible for the blockage and civil societies were up in arms asking Metfone to explain the sudden blocking of Facebook and seeking clarification as to why Metfone continues to block sites in the country, asking for further clarification on the said technical issues that caused the block.

Following this recent unfolding, the ProXPN team have come out to reassure browsers in Cambodia and worldwide that they endeavor to ensure that all users enjoy the peace of mind that they require while browsing the internet and using online services.

ProXPN, amongst other services offers a private internet subset exclusive to users, which comes at no charge through connecting to the internet via a secure ProXPN VPN where users can access any website or web service and enjoy a secure and exclusive online experience eliminating any fear of blockades.

With its services ProXPN will continue to address the current problems facing internet users through such government barriers while maintaining their stand that everyone should enjoy access to information at ease.

About proXPN: Founded in 2009, proXPN is a leading VPN provider. Unlike other services they offer free accounts. Unlike the SaaS standard practice of time-based complimentary trials, a proXPN free VPN account lasts for life and is limited only by connection speed. proXPN Premium account users enjoy unlimited connection speeds as well as advanced features such as PPTP compatibility for mobile devices and VPN Guard™, proXPN’s method of cutting all data transfer should the VPN connection fail, ensuring all data is encrypted during transmission even if there’s a system error. proXPN’s firm stance on the importance of individual privacy and security online mirrors public sentiment expressed during debates over SOPA and PIPA.

Robust Enterprise Grade WebRTC Systems and Services

The emerging WebRTC standard has become one of the industry's hottest topics – and with good reason. Being able to "communications enable the web" has Communications Service Providers as well as Enterprises busily making plans for deployment. But, as these plans unfold, reality is starting to intrude on those plans. Our expectations of telephony services are much higher than web browsing. We expect the phone to connect instantly, operate with minimal disruption, and work seamless across any network, anywhere, at any time. There is also an understanding that phone service is inherently secure. With WebRTC, the expectation is for these applications to behave in the same manner.

This session looks at the user experience and expectations of a WebRTC Enterprise service. It will also cover how a WebRTC enterprise handles security, reliability, and interoperability within browsers and networks.

ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS WEBRTC SESSION CONTROLLER SOLUTION

Communication Service Provider (CSP) voice service revenues continue to face pressure due to shifts in communication preferences and competition from non-traditional service providers. Voice communications are now often embedded into applications outside the domain of traditional telephony voice usage. CSPs have been challenged to effectively leverage and monetize new web-oriented communications technologies.
