Comision Federal De Electricidad (CFE) Selects Elster's Metering Products

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Elster today announced that Comision Federal de Electricidad de Mexico (CFE MEX) has selected Elster electronic meters for their commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in 2013. With more than 35 million end customers, CFE is the government energy corporation in Mexico.

The initial phase of the Elster A3 ALPHA meter deployment will include more than 28,000 C&I customers throughout the country. This will enable the utility to collect accurate and reliable data, improve billing calculations and efficiency, and help their business customers to become more savvy consumers of electric energy.

This contract award followed an exhaustive government tender process, which included in depth evaluation of functionality, price, warranty, and standards compliance.
