Bungalow Media + Entertainment Launches as Integrated Entertainment and Media Company

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/26/13 -- Bungalow Media + Entertainment, LLC, a private integrated entertainment and media company founded and led by the accomplished media and entertainment executive Robert Friedman, announced its entry into the marketplace today. Operating as an independent holding company at the nexus of networks, creative talent, and media companies, Bungalow will develop, produce, and distribute traditional unscripted, scripted and branded content across platforms including television, film, live events and digital media. The company's diverse slate will include products developed in-house and in collaboration with top creative agencies, brands, and other independent producers. Bungalow will represent a wide array of intellectual properties and talent.

"Whether we're working with a media company, a network, content distributor or an advertiser, we understand the critical challenges they all face. There is today, more than ever, a fundamental need to craft authentic content that mirrors their brand's unique DNA and tells a captivating story that resonates with core audiences," said Friedman, Chief Executive Officer of Bungalow Media + Entertainment. "In a fragmented media world where audiences are more fickle than ever about what they consume and how they consume it, it's imperative that media companies and advertisers have trusted content partners to help them rise above the noise and improve the economics of content development and distribution. By collaborating with content owners and the best creative talent in the business -- from filmmakers to producers to writers -- we're shaping a world-class team that has the breadth of expertise and a proven track record required to deliver the goods." During that time, Friedman served dual roles at New Line Cinema as President of New Line TV and Co-Chairman of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing, Licensing and Merchandising with film credits during his decade of tenure including "Austin Powers," the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "Dumb & Dumber." Friedman was also a member of the original development team at MTV Networks, where he worked on MTV, VH-1, Nickelodeon and The Movie Channel.

Bungalow's West Coast operations will be headed by veteran Producer Todd Hoffman, who has joined Bungalow and whose Storied Media Group packages and produces film and TV, and will become a partner in Bungalow. Todd, who specializes in managing Intellectual Property and Talent, and who has previously produced with a number of studios, will represent a myriad of franchises including The New York Times, 60 Minutes, New York Magazine and a talent roster including Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad), Bob Nelson and Stan Chervin, writers of Nebraska and Moneyball respectively. WebRTC Report Extract Reprint

This document examines the growing important of WebRTC, both generally and for telecom service providers. It considers the expanding range of use-cases, the multiple layers of interoperability likely to be desired by telcos, and some implications in terms of network integration and mobility.

Robust Enterprise Grade WebRTC Systems and Services

The emerging WebRTC standard has become one of the industry's hottest topics – and with good reason. Being able to "communications enable the web" has Communications Service Providers as well as Enterprises busily making plans for deployment. But, as these plans unfold, reality is starting to intrude on those plans. Our expectations of telephony services are much higher than web browsing. We expect the phone to connect instantly, operate with minimal disruption, and work seamless across any network, anywhere, at any time. There is also an understanding that phone service is inherently secure. With WebRTC, the expectation is for these applications to behave in the same manner.

This session looks at the user experience and expectations of a WebRTC Enterprise service. It will also cover how a WebRTC enterprise handles security, reliability, and interoperability within browsers and networks.

The Oracle Communications WebRTC Session Controller enables communications service providers (CSPs) and enterprises to offer WebRTC services – from virtually any device, across virtually any network – with carrier-grade reliability and security.
