Procera Networks Unleashes Embedded Intelligence at Interop Las Vegas 2014

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 03/25/14 -- Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the global Internet Intelligence company, today announced it will showcase the award-winning Network Application Visibility Library (NAVL) at Interop 2014, April 1-3 in Las Vegas.

NAVL, a next-generation embedded Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine, will be available for live demonstration on equipment from Procera OEM partners Intel and Napatech. NAVL enables real-time layer-7 application identification of network traffic and uses a combination of deep packet and deep flow inspection techniques to precisely identify today's most common applications including mobile, social networking, P2P, instant messaging, file sharing, enterprise and Web 2.0 applications. These powerful capabilities enable use cases in both enterprise and service provider communications solutions.

Gauging subscriber experience is a critical measuring stick for network operators looking to enhance that experience. In enterprise networks, businesses also need to ensure that critical applications receive proper handling and treatment. With the need for elements in these networks to provide visibility into an increasingly diverse traffic mix, NAVL provides equipment vendors with that ability so integrators can remain focused on core competencies while implementing industry-leading DPI functionality from Procera in their solutions.

Interop Las Vegas is the leading independent technology conference and expo series designed to inspire and inform the world's IT community. Held this year at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Procera Networks is exhibiting in booth #550. Robust Enterprise Grade WebRTC Systems and Services

The emerging WebRTC standard has become one of the industry's hottest topics – and with good reason. Being able to "communications enable the web" has Communications Service Providers as well as Enterprises busily making plans for deployment. But, as these plans unfold, reality is starting to intrude on those plans. Our expectations of telephony services are much higher than web browsing. We expect the phone to connect instantly, operate with minimal disruption, and work seamless across any network, anywhere, at any time. There is also an understanding that phone service is inherently secure. With WebRTC, the expectation is for these applications to behave in the same manner.

This session looks at the user experience and expectations of a WebRTC Enterprise service. It will also cover how a WebRTC enterprise handles security, reliability, and interoperability within browsers and networks.

ORACLE COMMUNICATIONS WEBRTC SESSION CONTROLLER SOLUTION

Communication Service Provider (CSP) voice service revenues continue to face pressure due to shifts in communication preferences and competition from non-traditional service providers. Voice communications are now often embedded into applications outside the domain of traditional telephony voice usage. CSPs have been challenged to effectively leverage and monetize new web-oriented communications technologies.
