BroadSoft and Oracle Team for Improved Collaboration Communications

October 30, 2015

Communications now means being available at all times across devices, systems and locations. The new integration of BroadSoft’s UC-One service offerings and Oracle Communications’ Unified Communications Suite will make it possible for users to connect with greater ease without any compatibility issues.

During the BroadSoft Connections 2015 in Phoenix, Oracle demonstrated how bringing the technology from both companies resulted in a solution for hosted-PBX, unified communications and collaboration.

The Oracle platform brings messaging, calendar, presence, instant messaging and contact management, while BroadSoft provides voice, video, and WebRTC-based collaboration capabilities. Together, they will give fixed mobile users all of these features with a single interface that seamlessly combines both platforms.

The BroadSoft UC-One portfolio of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) services, addresses today’s demand for new and innovative apps and services. It meets the needs of end users of cloud-based VoIP and PBX, instant messaging, presence, video collaboration, desktop and file sharing, multi-party conferencing, mobile applications and more.

Service providers can offer these options on one of two delivery models the company has in place: BroadWorks software, which resides in the service provider’s data center, or BroadCloud managed services, the company’s fully managed cloud service.

“BroadSoft has a longstanding commitment to an open platform strategy, which simplifies the integration of our communication and collaboration services with other devices, systems and applications. Through our work with Oracle, we will continue to power new competitive solutions for our service provider customers,” said Taher Behbehani, chief marketing officer, BroadSoft.

The Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite has the flexibility to create a range of offerings to meet market demands with multitenancy, delegated administration, and architected resiliency and scalability for different types of deployments. Service providers can deliver customized and differentiate solutions with new capabilities for cloud or on-premises deployments.

“The demonstration of the BroadSoft UC-One and Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite provides a robust offering giving CSPs a fully functional communications and collaboration environment to help them reclaim communications,” said Carl Dcosta, vice president, alliances and channels, Oracle.

For service providers, the coming together of BroadSoft and Oracle means they can offer communications solutions without any limitations. This includes collaboration in real-time with context aware capabilities, feature-rich virtual PBX, virtual key system and virtual contact center capabilities, and network quality analytics.
