Masergy Launches WebRTC Enabled Cloud Video Conference Service

The ability to readily collaborate with internal and external employees, partners and customers has introduced increased productivity within companies. The new WebRTC enabled Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) cloud video conference service by Masergy extends the collaborative process with an easy to deploy platform.

Video conferencing provides a layer of personalized communication by adding visual context to remote conversations. And as the technology grows more readily available, it it’s being accepted as an easy, agreeable alternative to face-to-face communications.

The VMR solution by Masergy Communications, provider of managed networking and cloud services, removes the complexities associated with in room conferencing systems by getting rid of account registration, app downloads, costly hardware investments and the support system to maintain them.

The company’s cloud ecosystem, along with its unified communications and global private network solutions, lets customers participate in video conferencing using a smartphone, tablet, PC, or video system. The platform also gives participants the option of using multiple devices during the same session and roam between them without stopping the conversation.

The VMR platform is available with one flat monthly fee of $22. It can bring together up to 25 sites, people or locations to a video conference, scalability which was only available to large enterprises with costly in room deployments.

It also offers UC-based presence, instant messaging, content sharing, uniform user experience across devices, encryption security to protect the privacy of meetings and unlimited usage with “All you can meet.”

Participants can join from browsers with native WebRTC support without the need for a plugin, with interoperability for video systems within and outside the organization. Users can direct dial from on-net media endpoints, Polycom VVX phone, telepresence room systems with SIP registration and from PSTN for user that just want use audio.
